Don't miss our final Speaker Presentation for the 2020-2021 season: NY City's famous contemporary representational painter, Don Perlis, featuring a powerful short film on him narrated by Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham, followed by a live discussion with Mr. Perlis about his life's work and passion for telling narrative stories. See his astonishing art that documents history, particularly the troubled, racially charged times in which we continue to live. Included will be socially relevant paintings on incidents that made the headlines starting with the notorious NYC "subway vigilante" in the 1980s up to his most recent work, "Floyd," which depicts the killing of George Floyd that was made into a billboard seen by millions of people in NYC's Times Square and many other cities across the country.
